Busy!

I’ve returned from my South African holiday and had a lovely long weekend lazing about and doing nothing.  In retrospect, I should have perhaps done some blogging rather than spending my time playing Zuma and surfing the internet endlessly but you know how it goes (I am sure I am not the only internet addict here).

I have returned to work and it is very hectic – I have a deadline for tomorrow morning and unfortunately, someone forgot to do something while I was away and that makes the next day extremely busy for me.  I’m not complaining – this is honestly the best place I have ever worked and we are a great team here in the office.  Sometimes I would like to find something a bit more challenging but I find I am treated a million times better here than I was by companies in South Africa.

Anyway, the purpose of this post is threefold.  First, I’d like to apologise because it seems that it may be the weekend before I start posting about my trip to South Africa.  I am also very slow on catching up on comments so please bear with me – I really do need to limit the amount of time I spend on the internet right now.

Second, I’d like to thank my blogging friend Roz from Life in Australia for giving me a “Let’s Be Friends” award.

Thank you Roz for the lovely things you said about my blogs.  I’m meant to pass the award on, but you know how bad I am at breaking chains!

Thirdly, the lovely JaPRA has moved her blog to her own domain so make sure you visit her there.  She has been spreading silly rumours about how sweet I am but I thought I’d share something one of my oldest and bestest friends Jean said about me today (in response to me saying I had no money to go see Faith No More at Donnington):

And this from the girl who flew all the way to London to see the Pixies perform live and then phoned me from the concert to make me jealous :o)

See? A friend wouldn’t do something nasty like that so I can’t be sweet!

  3. Oh, well, your old friend is practically family and therefore allowed siblingesque digs like that--haha!

I am glad you're back in Blighty. Take all the time you need to recover and slide back into reality. We'll be here when you're all rested up.

    XO

PS See you sweet you are? You said nice things about me and my new blog. You can't fool me! LOL ;-)

  4. Glad you had a great trip! My "time waster" is Bejewelled. It's crack - in flash game form. I hate it. Well, sorta...

Can't wait to hear more about the trip. I'd love to visit S. Africa.

  8. Hey! I have a blog about aviation and tourism. I found you on Blogcatalog and I wonder if we could exchange tips about trips and get linked each other on our blogs. What do you think about it? We could exchange a little banner or just a link.

I hope to hear from you soon.

  10. Hi Emm

Thanks for mentioning the award and don't worry if you don't get chance to pass it on.

I hope that the work deadline went well.
