  1. Hi Emm, don't you just love English phone boxes? They look great but not much good if you need a phone given the vandals :-)

Nice photo, is it hot in the UK.....guy in shorts?

  2. Hey how are you? I have a competion on my blog,

If you want to go...I will put you down down as winning a pair of tickets. Just let me know if you are interested and I will sort it...

  3. Hi Emm! Congrats on the second anniversary!!
Now, tomorrow. will it be red or orange? ;))

Blogtrotter Two is showing some incredible rocks by the sea... Enjoy and have a great weekend!

  4. The UK phone booths look so much better than the generic ones in the U.S. if you can find one now.

  5. I just LOVE these RED phone boots, but with everybody having cell phones are they not disappearing??

  6. I love these booths, of course, I may just be the last person alive that doesn't have a cell phone and finds these booths practical.

  7. Hi, hope it's OK to contact you here. We would love to include your blog on our giveaway blog network: Giveaway Scout ( Have a look and if interested, use our online form to add your blog ( ). thanks, Josh

  9. I wonder how long these phone booths will survive now that we are thick with cellular devices. Maybe we could use more of these to keep cell phone conversations more privae.

  10. Emm, English phone boxes look great! Love that red colour and shape!
You just pulled on some of my most wonderful memories!
    Great capture!
    Big hugs!
    B xx

  11. @ Mike: Sure, we've had the most glorious summer!

@ William: Thank you so much for the invite! Unfortunately, I was in Serbia when you sent the invite and was busy that weekend anyway!! Was it fun??

    @ Trotter: Thank you.

@ AVCr8teur: They are rather lovely!

@ Mireille: There was a time, say back in 1993, where they were almost impossible to find but thankfully people started to realise they are part of our heritage. I would say that now that companies like Orange are focusing on mobile networks, they are no longer trying to compete for landlines and that might also be why there are more read phone boxes now.

@ The Ancient Digger: Really?? I could not live without my iPhone. Well, I probably could but not sure if I'd want to.

@ Josh: Thanks, I'll check it out.

@ Tina: I agree! Or at least painted them!!!

@ Rob: I actually have a theory that cellular technology saved them (see above).

@ Betty: They are rather distinctive, aren't they?
